Message from the President  

Hello Members and Future Members,

The July Bottle Auction Happy Hour went off with a bang! We would like to thank Baby Acapulco's North on Stoneoak and our waiter, Jeff for doing such a fantastic job. We will be visiting them more often for other events. We had at least 50 members and future members there to enjoy the fun.

We would like to welcome Brad Thomas as a Gold Member.

August 1st we had a New Membership meeting at Berry Hill in Davenport to introduce/meet our new members and have lunch. Candace Smith your President Elect of WR Starkey hosts this every month so that there is personal time for each member to ask questions and get to know us a little better.

On Aug 9th we put on the FNMA Seminar and all that attended received 2 continuing education credits. The information was fantastic and we would like to thank our speaker Gary Newman with FNMA for doing such a fantastic job.

August 11-15 your President, Rachelle Bennett and your National Region VP, Juliana Brock were very fortunate to attend the very first Leadership Symposium in Las Vegas, NV. Usually, this meeting is held during the National Convention but as we grow as an association we need to take more time to plan our goals and our future. Yes, it was of course fun, but hard work as well. The leadership skills taught to those that attended was phenomenal! Our guest speaker David Kinard helped us update the goals in the Strategic Plan as well as what we could do on a local level to reach those goals as well. Our plan of action includes educational certification, untouchable technology, new benefits for our membership and the ability to grow your business relationships across the United States. You can see the entire Strategic Plan on the National Website at www.napmw.org. In addition, you can know that "members" put the plan together, so be sure to tell this board what you want!

We would like to remind you of our outreach program headed up by Carol Drolette of Wells Fargo. Remember to bring your men's and women's professional clothing to any NAPMW function and Carol or Shawn will be glad to take them.

It is with great regret that we inform you that our New Orleans, Louisiana Association is under water. Our members are in need and we will be making donation in their honor. We encourage you to reach out in any way you can to disaster victims. As a member you should have received an email from National stating that a disaster relief fund has been established and 100% of this money will be given to Members in New Orleans who have most certainly lost everything.
