President's Message
Greetings!
Happy Anniversary to Us!
This upcoming month will mark our 15th year of NAPMW-Austin.
NAPMW offers value in so many areas. Education and Networking to be certain are important aspects. One of the aspects that I have been blessed with during my time with NAPMW however has been Leadership Opportunities. Leadership is not something isolated to just your profession however. Leadership is a skill you carry with you in all aspects of your life. Let me share with you some opportunities for all of these areas that are coming up in the next couple of months.
This month is our 3rd Annual Valentine Wine Tasting-held again at Grapevine Market. Meredith McConnell and her wonderful Committee have worked very hard to have a successful event. I know you will thoroughly enjoy yourselves. Thank you to our Event Sponsors and Donators as well. Their companies are listed inside. Your support of these people and their companies is encouraged and appreciated.
Dr. Gary Lacefield will join us at our General Meeting in March to discuss RESPA’s affect on Realtors. Dr Lacefield has one of the most impressive resumes in the industry with relationship to Mortgage Lending Compliance. He is also a wonderful speaker and very enlightening! Loan Officers, Employers and Processors do not want to miss this meeting!
In April we will be hosting “Choose to Lead” . It will be an incredible opportunity to Explore your own qualities of leadership. It will hosted by the Past Presidents of NAPMW-Austin. Each of them has brought a great deal of change in leading and guiding the association but of no less importance they have also personally grown because of their choice to ‘choose to lead’. If you do nothing else this year you do not want to miss this opportunity! We have slated Amy C. Baker, professional business planner, communications consultant and author to speak to us. Amy is an exceptional individual with much to offer. We are also honored to have with us our NAPMW National President Kathie Kosicki, Central Region Vice President Murielle Barnes and Past National President Hulene Bridgeman-Works. I can promise you this. You will not walk away from the event empty-hearted or empty-handed! Please mark April 17th at 8 am for this event.
Looking forward to seeing all of you very soon!
Blessings!
Candace Smith, CMI
