Message from the President January 2008 Dear Members, Welcome to 2008! I hope this first newsletter of the New Year finds each of you well, rested up from time with your family during the holidays, and ready to start 2008 with a bang. The New Year is a great time to make a fresh start, take stock of your current situation and state of mind, and to make some resolutions for the upcoming 12 months. It is also a fantastic time to make an investment in your number one asset – yourself! I believe that many of us become so busy with our jobs and our daily chores and responsibilities that we forget to do things to benefit ourselves, which will in turn benefit others in our lives. NAPMW offers you the chance to make an investment in yourself, on a professional as well as a personal level. Make a commitment to yourself right now to become involved, to utilize the opportunities for education and networking provided to you on a monthly basis. With the transformation going on in our industry, it is vitally important that we all stay up-to-date with the changes affecting each of us, as well as continue to meet new industry professionals and stay connected through networking. The knowledge you will gain and the friends you will make may prove to be lifesavers in the future! Another way to invest in yourself is to become a leader.
