Easter and Spring are upon us!

I would like to give a big Thank You to Ellen Black of Capitol Appraisals and Gretchen Bressler Rossington of GreenPoint Mortgage who both stepped in and took charge of the February and March up coming events.

In February your Austin Local President, Juliana Brock submitted the slate for your 2005-2006 Board. We are pleased to have board members returning as well as some new leadership and new committee chairs.

NAPMW is about growing and educating the leader in all of you...so step up and take charge. Join a committee, bring a friend and give back to your Association. We need you!

For the month of February we threw our 1st Annual Wine Tasting Soiree. It was a night to remember and an education on wines, champagnes, foods and chocolates at the Grapevine Market. We have adopted the place for its "slow lunch" and coffee bar atmosphere. We have used them for gift baskets and silent auction gifts the Association is responsible for donating, we just love them…they have been very supportive of our organization.

Kudos to the Grapevine Market and Ike our wine tasting Connisseur! It was a great social!

At the March luncheon we presented the Slate and closed the nominations. Please welcome your new board.

President Rachelle Bennett, President Elect Candace Smith, VP Communications Connie Smith, VP Education Barbara Grant, VP Services & Resources Ellen Black, Treasurer Pam Skoglund, 2nd Director Shawn Sullivan, 1st Director / Past President Juliana Brock, Recording Secretary Gretchen Rossington, and Corresponding Secretary Cindy Musslewhite.

President Elect Bennett has selected Denise Suiter to serve as her Parliamentarian.

You also voted for our Leadership and Rising Star award to very deserving individuals. Winners will be announced at the Installation and Awards Banquet.

The date has been set! The 11th Annual Bottle Auction & Employer VIP Night is June 16th so mark your calendars.

Your Committee Chair Pam Skoglund of National City already has a head start on the Annual Bottle Auction and is looking for volunteers. You can reach her at 458-5644 or by email @ pamskoglund@hotmail.com. It is has become the signature event of the year. You don’t want to miss it. Tables of 10 of $200 and individual tickets are $25 year and we look forward to you being there!
