Message from the President March 2008 Dear Members, Can you believe it's March already? 2008 is flying by, and this month is full of events and activites! Don't forget the NAPMW-Austin Wine Tasting Soiree and Membership Drive, being held Thursday, March 6th, from 5:30-7:30, at Water 2 Wine. The cost is $25.00 per person, and includes wine tasting, appetizers, and a bottle of your own wine. Attendees will also be able to purchase opportunity tickets, for a chance to win prizes throughout the evening, and new and renewing members will be able to join at a reduced rate during this event. There are several other dates in March to take note of...or if you're like me, you'll need to write them down on several calendars so they are not forgotten! March 9th - Daylight Savings Time The April General Meeting and Luncheon will be held Tuesday, April 8th at 11:30 at Holiday Inn - Northwest. Mary Ann Arbogast with Clean Credit of Texas will be our luncheon speaker. Clean Credit of Texas is a company that specializes in credit restoration and other credit services including personal matching with financing, collection negotiation, offer in compromise, bankruptcy updating, budget and cash flow advice, and ChexSystems consulting. This is sure to be a very informative discussion, especially given the current market conditions in our industry. The slate for the 2008-2009 NAPMW-Austin Executive Board will be presented to the membership during March, and elections will be held at the April luncheon. Please note that if you are interested in running for one of the positions, you must be present at the April meeting to announce your intent. Nominations may be also be taken from the floor prior to the election.
