Hello Members,

Attention! Attention! Attention! Front Page News!

President Brock wins National Vice President Election. For the first time in NAPMW Austin history, we have a member elected to National Office. President Brock ran opposed and was elected to the office National Vice President Central Region this past weekend at NAPMW's 41st Annual Convention in St. Louis, Missouri. We wish her luck running the Region and in her position on the National Board!

On a personal note, Go Juliana! We look forward to your mentorship on a National Level and know you are very pleased and excited. You are most deserving and we are very proud of you!!! We look forward to your continued mentorship, ideas and foresight for our Austin Local.

If you missed the Installation Banquet...you missed out! It was tearful good-bye as our 2004-2005 President, Juliana Brock of Power Training handed over the gavel to our 2005-2006 President, Rachelle Bennett of GreenPoint Mortgage.

President Brock was showered with a gift card to her favorite place (Chico's) as well as a scrapbook from her last two years of wonderful service to us as President.

In addition, NAPMW Austin honored our Rookie Sponsor of the year, Juvenal Herrera of First Class Appraisals, our Employers of The Year, Wells Fargo, Carol Drolette and Shawn Sullivan as well as GreenPoint Mortgage, Mary Ann Arbogast. Also, honoring Corporate Sponsor of the year WR Starkey, Candace Smith and RMIC, Angela Bujnoch. We appreciate all of your time, effort and contributions.

As incoming President, I asked Everett Ives of Rapid Docs for conducting the Installation ceremony and would like to send out a special thanks to him. President Brock, Mr. Ives and Mrs. Arbogast have been inspirational as well as mentors for our me as I was being groomed for the office of President.

Please make sure as members you search out your new Executive Board and introduce yourself.

The new board in conjunction with outgoing board conducted our first Executive Board meeting on May 23rd. I would like to thank Candace Smith of WR Starkey and your 2005-2006 President Elect for conducting the meeting in my absence while I have been out on maternity leave.

Our strategy and support for our very own Juliana Brock's campaign for National Vice President was discussed. We are very proud to be able to send 2 delegates and 2 alternates fully funded to the National Convention and 2 of those ladies have never been to a National before.

The Convention is truly a place to be educated and to learn how to inspire others around you. Thank you, Ellen Black, Candace Smith, Beverly Kerbow, Juliana Brock and Pam Skogland for their attendance and support by going to the National Conference. We look forward to hearing from each of you at the next luncheon to share your experiences!

Planning for June!

In 3 weeks on June 16th is our Annual Bottle Auction! We have some VERY exciting bottles and new bottle donators! All bottles are due the first week of June if you are donating. If you are wanting to get on board, contact Pam Skogland, our NAPMW Bottle Auction Chair. This is our VIP and Employer night! So bring a client, bring your Boss or bring your employees to show your appreciation of them for the Signature Event of the Year!, June 16th, 5:00pm at the Holiday Inn North, (Loop 360 and Mopac on Business Park).
